21st October

TOUR / VISIT

Conference delegates are invited to participate in a tour of Devenish lands at Dowth, an innovative research and agritech company located in Co Meath on Friday 21 October.

This beautiful farm is located on the banks of the river Boyne within the Brú na Bóinne UNESCO World Heritage Site – where cutting-edge research into sustainable agriculture for the future sits alongside Neolithic monuments, created by some of Ireland’s first farmers 5,500 years ago.

Devenish is an Irish farming and food company that focus on researching and creating more sustainable and economical food production systems. A great deal of research is conducted on finding carbon-neutral solutions to typical Irish farming systems. There is a major focus on small on-farm management techniques that can reduce or sequester emissions being released by farming practices.

Note: Working language is English, translation unavailable.
